Visualisation: create a powerful reality

Visualisation is an injection of life. Do you want unlock your power for a better well-being ? This article is for you.

Research on visualisation prove that there is a system in your brain called retinal activating system (RSA)[1] which is a network of neurons that are responsible for filtering information in and out of our brain.

The reticular activating system CAN’T differentiate between reality and visualisation (imagine memories). What does that means? It means that if you visualize something, your brain will think it is real!

The magician behind all of this? Neurons.

Now, imagine the brain of each neuron as a fresh raisin, filled with countless seeds. Those seeds hold an infinite array of possibilities, both positive and negative, waiting to be awakened from their dormant state.

For some of you, your reactions have sown, planted, and allowed negative seeds to take root, often triggered by negative scenarios, fear, and worry. These patterns, formed unconsciously over time, stem from various life experiences. The deep-rooted negativity you’ve accumulated now shapes how you experience the world, trapping you in a cycle of anxiety and fear.

This is where Sophrology comes into play to reverse the vicious cycle of negative thinking, shifting your focus toward projecting positive scenarios. Sophrology supports the cultivation of a positive reality, allowing you to flourish and strengthen your sense of well-being. By guiding you to reframe your mental landscape, it helps you replace fear and doubt with empowerment, enabling you to live with more peace, confidence, and joy.

Through positive imagery, Sophrology acts as a catalyst to sow, plant, and awaken the roots of positive scenarios from their dormant state. The repeated visualizations serve as vital drops of rain, nurturing the roots of a new, positive reality until they sprout and transform our life into a better version of itself. With this process, you can reshape your mental landscape, allowing a more empowered and fulfilling reality to take root and grow. This is called neuroplasticity, the capacity of the mind to form new connections after experience new scenarios through visualisations.

Sophrology will also harness the powerful force of body-mind unity. The more positive scenarios your mind experiences, the more positive feelings your body will engrain, creating a deeper sense of balance and harmony. As you repeatedly visualize and embody these positive outcomes, your body becomes a vessel for these uplifting emotions, reinforcing your overall well-being and empowering you to face life's challenges with greater ease and confidence.

I just want to emphasize here how the importance of the repetition.  As Rumi (well-known Persian poet) said  “As you start to walk on the way, the way appears”. With consistent practice, your brain will begin to favour the path of positive thinking, choosing the easiest and quickest route to a more empowered, fulfilling reality.

Anxiety doesn’t need to be endured. You have the power to take control and change your experience now with Sophrology. With the right tools and mindset, you can shift from fear to empowerment.

And don’t forget, all the seeds are within you. You have the power to write the scripts that will shape your reality and make you feel better, guiding you toward the life you truly deserve.

Glow, radiate, live

Hi!

Thank you for taking the time to read this article. It all start with one powerful step: “giving yourself permission to feel empowered”

I send you a radiant light.

[1] The reticular activating system (RAS) is a network of neurons located in the brain stem that project anteriorly to the hypothalamus to mediate behavior, as well as both posteriorly to the thalamus and directly to the cortex for activation of awake, desynchronized cortical EEG patterns.
